Attempting to install Image Scan! for Linux on Mandriva Linux may fail due to a conflict with the "sane-backends-iscan" package.

We have confirmed that you can resolve this error using the following method.

[For Mandriva Linux 2009 and later]

  1. Execute the following command in the terminal to remove the sane-backends-iscan package:
    # rpm -e sane-backends-iscan

  2. Install the Image Scan! for Linux rpm package.

[For Mandriva Linux 2008.1]

Due to an unresolvable conflict with the libsane1 package, installation is not possible. Please upgrade to Mandriva Linux 2009 or later.
